The Columbia, Missouri Metropolitan Statistical Area, as defined by the United States Census Bureau, is an area consisting of two counties—Boone and Howard—in central Missouri, anchored by the city of Columbia. As of the 2010 Census, the MSA had an estimated population of 173,083[1]
